Chinese Tarot Cards

- May 2019 -

Tarot cards are use in many fortune telling. A Chinese theme design using many of the element in their culture. The primary color use are yellow, red, green, and blue. The one designed are the Moon, Justice, Emperor, and the back of the tarot cards.

MoonCard

The Moon

The archetypes for “The Moon” card are considered a symbol of the unconscious mind, and the reflection of the sun that constantly changes. It represents secrets and mysteries that may not be understood as it move across the dark sky.

The mix animal design is based on a hybrid of an ox and rabbit from the Chinese zodiac. The layout gives a dream like illusion of the mind. The upside-down mountain shows its roots as a decay tree trunk. It pointed toward the eye of the sun as it rains down tear to form the lake. This can give off a surrealist look to the art.

EmperorCard

Emperor

The emperor archetype portrays a ruler that protect and provide those they have authority over. They bring order in days of chaos, so that their peoples will thrive. Also considered a father figure that makes rule and system in their family.

The “Emperor” card has a humanoid character of the king holding hand with his son to show a father figure. He is holding the sword up with the sun shining out of the mountain to portray his height in power to lead the people.

JusticeCard

Justice

The archetype of justice shows both the giver and enforcer of laws. As the ultimate arbiter, it holds a two-edged sword—a reminder that fairness cuts both ways.

To show my interpretation of justice, the Chinese style sword holds the scale shown in court.
